Near Water Again

I’m on another work assignment now - entirely dissimilar from the last one. Different client group and different organisational issues. And in an entirely different location. This time it’s the heart of London in a high-rise building. But it’s by water again - this time the River Thames.

This is the view from my desk. Behind the red crane is MI6 headquarters. I try peering to see what they’re up to - even their windows are very opaque and mysterious. On the other side of the MI6 building is the office of the PR people who run the NHS Hepatitis C campaign and and the FaceIt photo exhibition that many of us took part in. Wonder if the same people are involved? Hmm, can’t say I’m that curious to find out.

So I focus off into the distance and buildings like The Gherkin and, from nearby my desk, St Paul’s Cathedral

Sadly, but perhaps not surprisingly, I don’t have a view of the Thames from my desk. So I take a brief walk along the promenade outside the building - and capture these refreshing and interesting vistas.

So, how are you feeling? I JUST JUST finished my treatment, and wanted to ask you how long was it for YOU before you started feeling better in your brainsphere? I’d like my sweet nature back!

    Hi Daniel
Big congratulations on finishing treatment - not an easy journey for anyone - even if you didn’t have many side effects.

It took me about six - nine months before I felt better in my brainsphere (as you put it). But this can a very personal thing and also depends on how long you were on meds for. For example, I think 24 weeks of those drugs is easier for your system to recuperate from than 48 weeks.

I’m sure it won’t have changed your nature though.

    Wishing you well
    Ron

    Hi Ron
Very nice view to! I’m just getting a touch of clarity over two years post. Went to a talk at the Royal Society of Med,’ Was good but nothing knew. Personally I reckon the whole system of hcv tx needs a damn good shaking.

Gonna go to the British Pharmaceutical do as well. Cos I got a plan I want to talk to them about!
Money/profit talks & I need some money [lots] Consultancy ‘yeah’ talk to me lol

get a set of Binculars just how opaque are the windows?

All the best I’m just recovering from turning green Guy

    Hi Guy
Good to hear from you - and that you are feeling “weller”.

HCV consultancy?? Good luck - you can find projects as long as you want to do it as a volunteer and be an “expert patient”, mate. Not only does hcv tx need a shaking it needs some funding and a change of attitude - and that’s from inside the community too I reckon.

    Wishing you well
    Ron

    Hi, Ron,

Your blog looks inspiring. I just started my second blog. I will start treatment for Hepatitis C on September 16th. My goals are similar to those you give.

    Be well, Irene
